I love Black Pudding. No not the British dish... and again no not the D&D monster... when I say I love Black Pudding I am referring to the James V. West joint that is an OSR 'zine that really makes smile in its gonzo wonderousness!
Yeah that's a word... that I just made up... so what?
I love this zine because of the amazing chaotic nature of it is visually and contentually... yup making up more words... sue me.
The issues (up to #6 now) are pay-what-you-want, which is might nice of Mr. West to be sure, but really, just buy this (POD available) and you won't be disappointed... Hell there's almost an complete RPG in it too!
He has changed my perspective on shit like a good mushroom trip and I find myself thinking back to the idea I had a few years ago for a gonzo fantasy comic in the vein of those 80's movies I love so much... Beastmaster... Conan... Ator... Hundra... SHE... etc...

A meat-headed hero, a smart sidekick, a femme-fatale, and lots and lots of D&D gags, along with sex, violence, and high adventure!
Follow that up with some RPG materials and you will see a fantastic world of over-the-top adventures waiting to be discovered!
Bastard Sword will most definitely not be rated G, more like an 80's PG-13...

As for me? Well time to fix up the house here and have some fun with this new creative energy that had me just singing inside...
