MY MIND IS A FIRE...

So a strange idea came to me tonight.

Well not so much tonight, but many ideas I have had over the years kind of culminated into a clearer thought tonight.

Watching Mad Max: Fury Road left me profoundly shaken.  It was a tremendous movie and it fired on every cylinder for me, pun intended for once.

The last time a movie effected this much was Jodorowsky's Dune.

Here's what I know.

Write for yourself.  Create for yourself.  Find the creative (spiritual) warriors that you can trust and make magic of your ideas.

Do not waste time explaining the little stuff to the audience, just make sure they understand the larger picture and let them argue about the whys and hows of set design, subtext, etc...

...and most importantly, the key to success is elusive, but the key to failure is evident... trying to please everyone.

Please yourself in your creation and fans will come.

I don't know what I have inside me, but it is trying to get out... straight through my head and I need to release it.
